A native of Michigan, Madge received BA and MSW degrees from Michigan State
University.

A career in social work ended when she married her Australian husband and they made their home in Australia for over 12 years. A return to a New York home and later homes in Knoxville, Tennesse, Minneapolis, Minnesota and Madison, Wisconsin allowed her to seriously pursue a life-long interest in art and art advocacy in different regions.

Studying with outstanding watercolorists such as Barbara Nechis, Jean Dobie, Sue Archer, Cheng Kee Chee, John Salminen, Linda Baker, Judy Morris and others has had a strong influence in her work. However, while her art varies widely in subject matter, her own style is evident and she continues to study and grow.

Madge's award-winning work has been included in many state and national juried shows and is included in private and corporate collections in the United States, Australia and the United Kingdom.

Her art business is in her home studio in Madison, Wisconsin.
